Firsty goes Academic…
It’s been an absolute privilege and an honour to have worked with the diligent, long-suffering, yet overwhelmingly enthusiastic, team at Edinburgh University Press in recent months, and we’re ecstatic to see this new customer-focused website face the music – or, more specifically, the students, authors, researchers and lecturer community throughout the university.
‘Firsty have been brilliant to work with. They’ve taken our ideas and have really produced the website we wanted. They worked with us to find solutions to every problem we presented them with, at every stage of development. We’ve been consistently delighted by their flexibility, their technical expertise, their collaborative approach and their friendliness.’ said Anna Glazier, Head of Sales and Marketing.
Some notable standouts of the new site include:
- Responsive design
- Direct print and eBook sales – single checkout
- Digital content available on open access basis
- User-generated reviews
- Book-specific keyword tags, enhancing search
- Simple review copy requests for lecturers
- Additional content available for students/lecturers.
- Flexible content management.
Not to mention the hugely exciting areas of ONIX ingestion, distributor interfacing, and payment gateway integration: unheralded, yet fundamental aspects of any publisher’s ecommerce website….
Darin Brockman, Firsty CEO added:
‘Working with this esteemed Academic press has been a thoroughly enjoyable experience, and adding the name of EUP to the Firsty portfolio is a great achievement for the Firsty Team. The collaboration has been extremely rewarding, and we look forward to our ongoing partnership.’
