Firsty sponsors Independent Publisher of the Year
We are privileged to be one of the sponsors at the upcoming British Book Industry Awards 2016, sponsoring the award for the Independent Publisher of the Year.
Shortlisted publishers for this award cover a wide variety of book genres and styles, from colouring books to nonfiction bestsellers. They are at the forefront of innovation, excelling in the diversifying nature of the publishing industry, with the likes of colouring apps (MoM), and ‘disappearing books’ (Head of Zeus).
The shortlist contains a number of publishers that have already achieved great things this year: Andersen Press recently won the BOP Children’s Publisher of the Year Award for European Publisher, and Faber and Faber, Nosy Crow, Oneworld and Pavilion Books all saw success at the IPG awards, which took place only a matter of weeks ago.
These renowned names in publishing are also shortlisted in a multitude of other categories on the night, including marketing strategy, imprint – and several which celebrate individuals in the publishing industry.
The shortlist for the Independent Publisher of the Year award reads as follows: Andersen Press, Faber & Faber, Head of Zeus, Laurence King Publishing, Michael O’Mara Books, Nosy Crow, Oneworld and Pavilion Books.
We wish all the shortlisted entries – both in our sponsored award, and all other categories – the very best of luck. On behalf of the entire team at Firsty, we’re excited to support such an excellent event in the publishing calendar, and are looking forward to what is sure to be an exciting night on May 9th!
